As Red Wolf highlights, the assault class is a pretty good all-around class. Whether you want to get close and personal or play at a range, the assault class has the weapon or star card for you. Because of its flexibility, the class is very fun to play and can counter most of what you come across on the battlefield.
For example, the EL-16HFE has the range to potentially pick out a sniper at a distance. In a similar fashion, using the CR-2 can really make a difference at close range as well as Vanguard. Assault can also do significant damage to vehicles, assuming that you’re shooting at their weak spots.
