In summary

As Red Wolf points out, it’s not uncommon to play SWBFII and see the officer being the most commonly-used class. They have the best point-gain abilities as well as some pretty amazing weapons. Flash-grenades and health buffs are probably two of the most commonly used abilities in when playing the officer. Pair that with their Blurgg pistol and you truly have a lethal combination. In the past, this particular weapon was nerfed because of its excessive effectiveness. This doesn’t mean that it doesn’t remain a very effective choice.

Another excellent choice deals with the officer’s recharge command that takes your abilities out of cooldown, including those of your teammates. When attacking an objective pair it with a squad shield and the moment the latter goes out you can use your recharge command to redeploy the shield. Having recharge command equipped can truly make a difference in your game.
