As expected, DICE posted today an update on Star Wars Battlefront II (SWBFII)’s upcoming content. Among other things, Ewok Hunt is the new mode for the game. It allows you to play as Ewoks and attack unsuspecting Imperials in Endor’s night version.
Ewok Hunt coming to Star Wars Battlefront II on April 18!
In specific, today’s update for Ewok Hunt is as follows:
For the first time in Star Wars Battlefront II, you will be able to play as Ewoks. Take to the forest moon of Endor in this new game mode, Ewok Hunt.
The ambush begins as the Ewok attacks the unsuspecting stormtroopers, using spears, Wisties, and whatever abilities they can muster to take down the intruders. Each defeated stormtrooper spawns as another Ewok, multiplying until the Empire’s forces have been completely eliminated, and the Ewok celebration can begin. Imperial forces will need all their training to survive until their evacuation arrives. Do so, and they’ll make it off of Endor and claim the win.
SWBFII Season 2 news and upcoming content.
The new game mode will become available on April 18 and is a prelude to new content landing soon. In a subsequent message, EA Community lead Ben Walke highlighted that this new game mode will be followed by Season 2 that is going to span multiple months.
He highlighted that moving forward, SWBFII will get two different types of updates. The first focuses on content that is similar to the newly-announced game mode, while the second will be season content. In regards to the theme of the season, it’s safe to say that some seasons will be influenced by what’s happening in the Star Wars movie universe.
Seasons will focus around a specific theme (such as a new Star Wars film, or an anniversary in the Star Wars Universe) and will usually span multiple months.
Currently, Season 2 will be landing sometime in May. You can read the complete post from Ben Walke right here.
